TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Procedures

1. Deposit
A deposit check of USD300.00 per person (payable to Global Express Travel Service) must be received within 5 days. Photocopies of valid passport must be sent with deposit. Reservations are not considered firm until deposit is received or they will be automatically cancelled.

2. Final Payment
Final payment must be received 60 days prior to departure. Late payments may result in higher airfares and additional charges. Occasionally payment for air tickets will be required sooner, based on the ticketing deadline assigned by the airline. When a reservation is made less than 60 days prior to departure, full payment will be due upon confirmation of the reservation.

3. Travel Documents
Travel Documents will be sent by Fedex or Express Mail two weeks prior to departure. Late payments may necessitate overnight delivery of documents, an expense that must be borne by the passenger.

Important:  If you receive the confirmation close to 60 days prior to departure, $300 check and the remaining balance below are required by 60 days before departure. 

4. Late Bookings
Last minute booking (within 60 days prior to departure) is subject to availability, will be assessed a $50 per person surcharge and taken only with full payment.

Credit Card Payments
Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) are accepted for all tours. Credit card charges will not be processed without a signed universal credit form and credit card imprint or a completed Credit Cardholder Authorization with the photocopies of identification card and your credit card (FRONT & BACK) are required.

Tour Cancellation
All cancellations must be submitted in writing, which may be done in one of the following forms:

Upon receipt of your written notice, the cancellation penalty will apply as follows:
Up to 90 days before departure................................No Charges
89 days to 60 days before departure..............$200.00 per person
59 days to 30 days before departure.....30% of the listed tour fare
29 days to 15 days before departure.....50% of the listed tour fare
14 days or less before departure.........100% of the listed tour fare

For all above cancellations only apply for our schedulled tour itineraries, does not apply for custom design tour.

If your cancellation affects the price of your roommate, such as forcing them to pay a single supplement, we will deduct this amount from your refund on top of your own cancellation penalty.

(Including no-shows or cancellation after the departure date)

For those who wish to fly with different airlines other than our group airline arrragenment, additional cancellation penalty by the airlines may apply.

Please note: Cancellation refund applies to tour charge only. Other fees such as fees for visa or passport are nonrefundable.

We recommend the purchase of Trip Cancellation Insurance to cover cancellation fees.

Change or Transfer
The same cancellation penalty applies if your deposit had already been received and processed by us for the following situation. If you¡¯d like to:

Change/Transfer to a different tour package.

Postpone your trip.

Exchanges are NOT allowed. If someone in your group cancels, the new person cannot take her/his place to avoid cancellation costs. Please see our cancellation policy above.

Insurance
We recommend that you purchase adequate and comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Neither Global Express Travel Service nor your travel agent is responsible for loss or damage to luggage, accidents or health that may require you to miss part of your trip or your return to the U.S.A. with the group. RESPONSIBILITY
Global Express Travel Service acts as tour operator and agent. The suppliers providing transportation, conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Global Express Travel Service. All tickets, coupons and receipts issued by Global Express Travel Service and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodations are made by Global Express Travel Service as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither Global Express Travel Service nor any subsidiary or affiliate of Global Express Travel Service shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred upon you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyond the control of Global Express Travel Service, including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment. Nor shall Global Express Travel Service be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other causes. All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services. Global Express Travel Service reserves the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour. Global Express Travel Service reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time. Due to the change of air fare, hotel rates, cruise fare and the foreign exchange rate, Global Express Travel Service reserves the right to change the tour fare at its discretion without prior notice.

The local handling travel agency in China has sole and exclusive control over the operation of all tours. The local handling travel agency in China reserves the right to make alterations or adjustments in the itinerary as to destinations, transportation, accommodations and all other services. Neither Global Express Travel Service nor any subsidiary or affiliate of Global Express Travel Service shall be responsible for any such alterations made by the local handling travel agency in China.

Payment of a deposit represents acceptance by the tour member of the Terms & Conditions listed herein. By utilizing the services of Global Express Travel Service, you agree that the exclusive venue for all claims, actions or proceedings against Global Express Travel Service of whatsoever nature arising out of this contract shall be the State of California, City of San Jose and such claim, actions or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws within the jurisdiction of the State of California, City of San Jose.

TOUR FARES
The tour fares include:

The economy-class roundtrip international and within in China domestic airfare.
£ªThe hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard room.
£ª
All land tours in each city.
£ª
All meals arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies. (AB: American Breakfast - L: Lunch - D: Dinner - SD: Specialty Dinner). *Please refer to the Tour Features section of your tour description for complete details.
£ªPrivate transfers for you and your party as a group between airports, hotels and all sightseeing spots. The extra costs of separate arrivals and departures transfer will be born by the passengers who arrive/depart earlier or stay behind or make their own international flight arrangements
£ªOne private English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you on all normal sightseeing tours in each city.
£ª
Admission fees applicable.
£ª
The Tibet Travel Permit fee applicable.
£ª
The luxury Yangtze River cruises with shore excursions.
£ª
All ground transportation and domestic airfare or soft sleeper/seat train within China.
£ª
Travel Agencies Liability insurance with the tour inside China.

The tour fares do not include:
£ªTips: Tipping information will be outlined in our final documents.

Airport Taxes, airline fuel charge, Customs & Immigration Fees are not included.
£ª
Visas/Passports: Passports/visas, beverages, after-dinner coffees, teas and excess baggage and all other items of a personal nature are not included.

Insurance is not included.
£ª
Child Tour Fare: For child 11 years and under, if they share room with parents and not ask for extra bed, the cost is 80% of a regular adult price; if they need an extra bed in the same room with their parents, the cost will be same of the regular adult price. Children are 12 and older will be charged at the regular adult price.

Land Package Tour Fare: We are pleased to offer land packages for those who would like to purchase the international air tickets by themselves. Please also make sure that the arrival dates in China match those of the brochure itineraries.

All Taxes: From US $275.00 or over per person for all taxes including international airport tax and China airport management and construction fees and fuel charge. All taxes are subject to change without notice, and must be paid by the passengers upon confirmation of the tour.

Visa/Passports: All passports must be valid for at least 6 months AFTER date of departure. All US citizens¡¯ passengers must be in possession of visas for China. The visa fee is not included in the cost of your tour Global Express Travel Serevice can also apply for entry visa to China, on the passengers - behalf for a fee

China Visa fee: $170.00 per person.

The charges include visa fee, handling charge, but do not include the Federal Express mail charge. The normal processing time is four weeks including the delivery time. For express processing within one week, an additional charge of US $50 will apply. When the visa is done, the passport will be mailed back to the passenger along with the other travel documents 2-3 weeks prior to departure. If a separate mailing of passport is required, additional charge of $50 per person for extra processing will apply.
